The Guildhall is also home to the Council’s chamber and Mayor’s Parlour.
Meetings of Derry City and Strabane District Council take place on a regular basis in the Chamber. Importantly, the AGM takes place in June every year at the Guildhall where positions of responsibility are designated including the nomination of the Mayor.
The Mayor’s parlour is situated in the Guildhall and is used to host civic events and special commemorations. It is also the day-to-day office for the Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council.
